As far as style goes, these are some of the finest dining chairs I've seen in a long time. The comfort is also good but it isn't that cushiony. Some of the other reviews I saw mentioned them being really comfortable so I expected more. They are accurate about deep seats and support though.

The material on the seat doesn't attract cat hair which was needed. More importantly, the little that it does attract can be wiped off without having to take out the vacuum everytime I sit down to eat. Bye bye to fabric dining seats forever.

How wide is the bad of the chair? Is 19.25 the width of the seat? I need the widest dimension.

The width of the top on the back seat is 15.7".  The width of the bottom on the back seat is 17.9".  The entire width of 19.25" is taken at the widest part of the chair which would be the seat.
