After I wrote the below review I was contacted by Inmod and had a positive interaction with that rep. They were kind enough to refund the cost of my shipping and told me that I would receive a call that day from the delivery company. Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything. I called back the next morning and was told I would hear from the delivery company THAT day. Nope. So, I contacted Inmod again that evening. The rep told me that she would contact the delivery company again and ask the manager about applying a discount for all my wasted time.
The next day I did get a call from the delivery company and a follow-up from Inmod to confirm (although nothing was said again about any compensation for the time I had to spend contacting them.) The furniture DID show up the next day!! However, the delivery people said that I had not paid for the "white glove" delivery. I insisted that I had chosen that option and they agreed to do it. The delivery people were very pleasant and professional.
So, now I have finally had the furniture for a week, and I'm very happy with it. It's extremely well made and looks absolutely lovely in my room. I'm pleased with the quality and appearance. Thank goodness.
I just received an email asking me to rate my items, which I would love to do, but unfortunately, I have yet to receive them. I received a call saying that they had shipped two weeks ago, and that's the last info I've been able to track down. I was told they'd call to set up delivery a couple days after that. Then that I'd hear this week. Then that I'd hear next week......
I thought that "shipping in 8-10 weeks" meant I would receive it in 8-10 weeks, but evidently it means only that they are shipped but could take up to forever after that. The customer service has not been very friendly explaining that either. I wasn't told that "the website states only that is shipped in 8-10 weeks;" I was told that "the website CLEARLY states" this. Sheesh. It's all been like that
I was also told it would take extra weeks because I had chosen inside delivery in a way that implied that A) that was a favor and not something I paid $250 for, and B) that a reasonable person wouldn't mind if the furniture was just dumped on the sidewalk in the middle of a city street at any old time.
I've had to keep contacting them because I don't have much confidence that I'll find out if there's a problem if I don't. The first time I called to confirm a delivery address about 3 weeks after I placed the order, I was told that they didn't even carry the fabric I had ordered.
I will certainly be giving a full review when I receive the furniture, and hopefully once I get it, the review will be much happier. Right now I'm taking a wait and see attitude and crossing my fingers.
The email says I could win an ipad for posting a review. So, I guess even if I'm sitting on lawn chairs for the rest of my life, I could have that. I'd rather have a discount on the cost of shipping.
