Calle Henzel´s contemporary artworks feature in collections all over the world. His work has a vibrant feel dealing with topics such as vanity, innocence, life and death. Henzel incorporates graphic symbolism with pop elements often conflicting the beauty and the sinister all in one piece. Working on canvas collaged with graphics and illustrations sometimes left partially sketchy, often depicts women who are independent, enlightened or inaccessible. The paintings demonstrates one of the recurring themes of modernism; the eye and the glance as basic symbols and points of fixation.
The luxury handtufted rugs often have a layered surface, flooded with graphical images. Or, the exact opposite, strict simplicity with few elements and colours. The rugs are all handmade, in high quality and not in high volume, all rugs are custom made.
